CYCA Sailing Academy

Thanks to the Toga Group - Medina Apartments & Vibe Hotels scholarship program, Tara, Henry, Tom, Rosie, Alex, Evan and Aidan have been invited to participate in CYCAs Sailing Academy program
The objectives of the CYCA Youth Sailing Academy is to encourage and promote youth into offshore keel boat racing by providing pathways for youth aged 12 -24 to develop the skills necessary to achieve such an objective.

Talented Sailor, Development Match Racing, and Advanced Sailing Courses were offered during the winter months. These courses focus more on the advanced aspects of sailing including racing rules, tactics, physical fitness, campaign planning, sail trim and boat maintenance. CHS 2010 Start line Drama

Capsizing just behind the start line at with 4 seconds to go at CHS, Emma and I were pretty upset about being the last boat over the start line but we finished 3rd! That day we realised how important it is to never give up and to keep singing Hey Soul Sister. -Rosie Lee
