2011 Sprint Series Cronulla

Sitting on a rock watching 17 NS14s bobbing up and down was not what i really wanted to be doing yesterday but having decided to climb down a cliff face in Jandals (Flip Flops) to try and get the best spot to photograph a fleet supposedly sailing a "SPRINT SERIES" from.........i thought i should probably hang around and wait (as they were all doing), for the wind to arrive.
It eventually did and they quickly got in 2 shortish races. The 3rd however turned into a  L  O  N  G    D  R  I  F  T as what little wind there was, died.
Hugh and Taylor gave the rest of the fleet a master class in light wind sailing with Craig Davidson in "Rubber Chicken Rocket Car" !!!!!! 2nd followed by Bryce Edwards in "Tempest".

A helping hand

The fastest Mike went all day, in fact the fastest ANYONE went all day.
The End At Last

Commodore's Cup 2011

Below are a few pictures of yesterdays commodores cup. Held over 2 races, David and Emma (Invisible) mastered the light conditions to win the first heat. In the second Dave and Harry (Hairy Lemon) led from start to finish.

Rock Star Smiles

Graeme knows he can have way way way more fun on an NS14 than a Taser, it just takes days like this to remind him. The Smile says it all.

No racing but lots of fun

This Sundays Club Championship was postponed until another day after it was decided it was unsafe to sail because of the strong winds. This however did not stop the NS14 fleet from taking to the water and trying to find the strongest gusts they could find. Below are a few of the pictures i took and i apologise for not taking more but i was getting soaked and the light got really low when the rain came through

Northbridge Sailing Club "Teams Racing"

This Sunday the NS14 Team changed boats and sailed in the first Teams Racing event to be held at the club.  After a long exciting day in the sun and eventual wind, Hugh, Rosie, JD, Kiah, Tara and Char won the best of 3 race final.
Short courses, close action and some frantic calls made it really exciting and interesting for the spectators.
Colin and i had a blast out on the water, bobbing around like a cork and trying NOT to get in anyones way
Thanks Hugh for organising it all, "lets do it again" was the general feeling.
